About Me

Hello, my name is Anna and I know that sometimes life can become overwhelming.  You may feel that you have no one to turn to, which could leave you feeling hopeless and confused.  If you are feeling anxious, depressed, lost, angry, or perhaps struggling with a bereavement, relationship difficulties, addiction, or suffering from abuse and low self-esteem, (to name a few examples of common life problems) - now could be the time to seek help from a counsellor as it’s not easy to make sense of, or easy at all to cope with by yourself.

However, by considering counselling you will be taking the first step towards taking charge of your own future and, with my guidance and support, my aim is to work towards facilitating change, to help you to find your own ways of coping and a route to discovering a different perspective.

As the Dalai Lama said:  “There are only two days in the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is the right day to love, believe, do and mostly live.”

It’s often so hard to ask for help and you can feel that no one understands, or you may be too embarrassed to own up to your distress for fear of being judged.

My objective is to help you to navigate a way forward by listening to you in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental place where you feel able to explore your thoughts and feelings.  This talking therapy helps to explore current issues, as well as past trauma and examine your current tools for coping.  This often happens organically and the direction is driven by you.

Trust is imperative for a strong therapeutic bond to be established between us, as our relationship is the key to finding the tools to help you to ‘see’ a different path, thus enabling you to move forward by finding new ways of coping with what your life brings.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile.  You’ve already come this far and evidently have the strength and courage to look for ways to find the help and support you need to take the next step.

Please do call for a free, no-obligation chat.  Giving you the chance to ask questions and to share some of your story with me before you decide whether you wish for us to go ahead and work together.

Much warmth,

"When you touch one thing with deep awareness, you touch everything."

To Self Discovery

It’s the fear of failure but with no urge to be productive.

It’s caring about everything, then caring about nothing.

It’s wanting to be alone, but hating feeling lonely.

It’s wanting friends but being loath to socialise.
